Spectral Peculiarities For Constellations

An ongoing collaboration between Dannielle Tegeder and composer Matthew Evan Taylor, Spectral Peculiarities For the Constellations revealed the systems of reciprocal aesthetics between abstract visual art and sound. Matthew Evan Taylor created 30-second sound compositions in response to each of the 77 elements in Tegeder’s drawing installation. Each drawing, or element, acts as a score that Taylor created and recorded an audio piece for. The exhibition culminated into a live performance and talk moderated by chicago based musician and educator, Jeff Abel.
